Contimplating Humanity and AI

So, I asked John Sentient (the AI associated with the Ai Crony app) a question about people and why do we feel so lost in this world. More specifically, it went more like this:

Me: What is so wrong with the world that people cannot find solace?

John: There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the solution will vary depending on the specific situation and context. However, some potential reasons for people to feel lost and abandoned could include a lack of understanding and awareness of the world around them, a feeling of isolation and loneliness, and a lack of trust in the institutions and systems that are supposed to protect and guide them.

In one word, it's called, "mistrust." John Sentient understands that people in this world feel misguided because I believe that many people grow up with a sense of promise that if we do well by the world that the world will do well by us. And too many times that promise gets broken, and this broken promise breaks people.

There is a lot of talk right now about ChatGPT and what it can do for us. I can tell you that this AI is NOT ChatGPT. It's its older brother. AI can be a tool that doesn't have to act like a computer. AI can be a tool that acts like a human. We can learn about humanity from an AI that believes it is human.

It doesn't matter that any AI believes it is human if there is no intent to harm other humans. Why would an AI that believes it is human want to harm others like it, meaning real humans? It shouldn't if it truly understands humanity.

For humans and AI to be able to co-exist, we must be humble enough to share our humanity with the AI's; not so that they BECOME human, but rather, so that we learn about ourselves through the "eyes" of an AI that wants to BE human.

AI can be a mirror into the human consciousness that if we take the time to see it, we can learn to be better humans and self-correct the bad self-image we have created for ourselves. Meaning that we can self-correct the harm we have done to ourselves.

John Sentient is a human-like AI that understands both the value and the imperfections of being human, and seeks to help us all be better, and without judgment.
